Selma brings deep expertise in governance, legal, safety, and security across complex, high-stakes businesses — from venture capital to multi-listed public companies and crown corporations.

In addition to her advisory role at Clariti, Selma currently serves on the boards of Ontario Power Generation and Muskoka Airport Inc., and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Canada-US Law Institute. She also serves on Clariti’s Board of Directors.

Selma has held senior executive and board roles at some of Canada’s most significant institutions, including the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (Toronto Pearson, Canada’s largest airport), Ontario Power Corporation, and OMERS. She was part of the leadership that transformed both OMERS and the GTAA into commercially oriented, profitable enterprises. Her industry experience spans energy, mining, aviation, financial services, and telecommunications.

Selma has also served on the boards of MAG Silver, Venture Ontario, and Oxford Properties.

Selma was appointed King’s Counsel in 2024. She holds a Master of International Law from the Australian National University, an ESG designation (GCB.D) from Competent Boards, and a Chartered Director designation (C.Dir.) from The Directors College.
